Yes, Hot Rod did a flat black paint job for $32 not counting paper and what not. If you already have that it's cheap!!

CJ, you are way too anal to not care that you can't get bug guts spattered on the front off of a satin finish.
If I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't do a flat or satin on my bike. It always looks dirty, tough to actually clean, etc."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

Yes , it scratches, and unless you clean it quicky, the mud spots will be visible in the paint when clean.
You can't buff it. But really, why would you want it to look like primer? I understand that it looks cool, but dirty it looks like shit."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

I've used the SEM stuff and it is very durable and has a nice finish. It's also pretty easy to touch up. I will definitely be using it again.
Although I wouldn't use it on something I would have to clean regularly. I would definitely put a clear coat on anything I wanted to clean easily. Or maybe cover the whole thing in Pam before mudding to make for easy cleaning!

Let me know how it works out for you. I have two different types of paint on my bike, single stage satin, and a base with a flattened clear, and they both do it.
Go ahead and do it, if you are dead set on it, its your shit. I'm not taking time to type all this out on my small assed phone keyboard becasue I want to fuck with you."If I asked people what they wanted, they would have said faster horses." - Henry Ford

I've had blitz black on my 64 c10 for two years, parked outside everyday and driven several times a week, and it still looks fresh. No chalking yet, no scratch marks, and I actually use the brushes at the car wash because the whole point was a cheap bulletproof paintjob I didn't have to baby
