A camaro for $2000 is this possible?

Hello everybody, new here. Well I guess I shouldn't say new cause I guess I'm really just a long time lurker, first time poster. I know how you guys are so I'll get to the point.

i have a friend that is looking for a 93-96 z-28 camaro, standard trans. High mileage ok. I'm not asking if anyone is selling the car i'm asking if you think its possible to get that car around here for $2000.

i am sure that you all are much more familiar with prices in this area as i'm originally from wisconsin and lived most of my life there

I am a mustang man myself and i realize this is a mustang site but as i said i've lurked awhile and there seems to be a lot of chevy guys around here too. So i thought i'd ask if that price is likely around here, and if not, what you would expect to pay. he is thinking of a car with anywhere from 150 to 200K on the odometer

Yeah, it's possible, but don't expect something great and you will never find one with a 6 speed in it for that price.

Yeah 93+ are all T56 6 speeds and yeah for that price, autos are all you are going to find. I know because I have been looking for one myself.

I read somewhere that the 93 6 speed tranny was different from the 94-up (not sure the differences)..but when I was looking to do a T56 swap in my 94 T/A I was told to stay away from the 93 6spd tranny (and the 92 Corvette 6spd).

i bought a 96 m6 z28 for 2300 in california.. it blew up after about 3 months, spun a bearing. it had about 100k and i drove it very hard, so.. yeah, you can.
