I'm sure a Cummins get set would not have any problems...
The thing I don't understand is these companies will hire anyone off the street and make them take every training class to operate the machinery but then anyone with a CDL can drive them. The things I see never cease to amaze me

there is obviously not enough info about the height on that bridge. a guy hauling an oversized load two days before had to turn around at mayfield in front of me because his escort noticed the bridge height was too low. this is the second time in a few months its been hit. since the bridge is new those who have run that route before are thinking its ok. they need a height warning signal before the bridge on both sides. always a bunch of monday morning quarterbacks who think they can do better but you never see them actually do anything besides talk shit. shit happens eventually maybe it will be a 13' 9" bridge if we hit it enough times or maybe the POS will just fall down

What would it cost to put up some electric eyes to set off lights if any thing over 13.6 trips it. A lot less than the money spent on checking the bridge and cleaning up the left over parts.

              get it to ya monday....

the bridge they hit was the new RXR bridge... thing had a few scratches.

First truck went under, hit bridge and completely ripped the roof off the gen and gen ended up under the bridge and he kept driving out from under bridge.. After cops raped him he swept the deck of his trailer off and drove off. The white top you see is from truck ones gen

truck 2 tired to dodge first trucks gen, didnt make it either, hit bridge and its the one you see on the ground.

truck 3 hit the gen and almost lost his.

truck 4 didnt hit anything or anyone.

Lady next to truck 4 made it out un hit

3 cars behind her rear ended each other one person left on stretcher.

              few pics

              truck 1

              truck 1 gen

lady that made it out untouched

              truck 3

decal on the gen ( equipment has no brain use your own)

I counted at least two flashing warning sign's on both sides of the road, mutable warning sign's. Any one who hits it is just plan a dumb ass and not doing his job.
I drive a truck and ALWAYS check every sign I pass.
There just a bunch of dumb asses, and where following each other to close also. Next truck they drive will be a pickup truck. Hope they get some improper securement of load tickets also.

I did a quick check on low clearance arlington tx. It listed 360 @ TX180 Division at 14' 1" its a 13' 6" bridge. Not sure who put that info up there but its wrong.

The Old bridge was 14-1, all the old RXR and 18o bridges are gone and new ones are up now. So far as what the inspectors over that project said its 13-6. However, they just recently changed it in past few months. I remember not long ago that the flashing message boards said 14-1

However the new north bound lanes they are building are lower than the current lanes that are open. So when its all said and done and they finish the south bound lanes, all the new lanes will be lower than what its been for years.

But dumb on the engineers part for building a bridge shorter than what was out there and a RXR bridge before the main lanes were lowered.

But the drivers might get out of this if they do some research when all the info and heights were actually changed

                            LOL. Really?

TxDOT says otherwise... as does the sign on the fucking bridge they hit. Division St might be 14'1" but the railroad bridge just next to it is definitely not.

How can a professional driver(s) make such a dumbass mistake? That's horrible.

Dude, there's a portable sign warning that the bridge is low, but that's easy to overlook when you are hauling a tall load...
