So, basically, they're union.

In the private sector when someone fucks up on camera, they get disciplined or fired on the spot (at least that is how we do it here). I do not see why the public sector should handle it any differently.Originally posted by mikec View PostSo, basically, they're union.

I was looking for the list too, but didn't find anything... So I guess not much damage can be done since nobody can even locate the information..
Still, totally uncalled for. If they want to post the info for the cops that have done wrong, by all means, but posting just random people's info is shitty.

My boss can not like the way I do my hair and fire me. I would get unemployment because I didn't break any policy, but I'd still be jobless. Yet the police, even when they're caught with their hand in the cookie jar, are protected from being fired until the investigation is complete. Sounds like a horseshit double standard.

What would you guys rather have? An officer that is fired and gets his job back because it was mishandled?
Instead of on leave and without a badge/gun, you'd rather have the guy working taking calls, making decisions about the public's safety while he knows they are building a case against him?
You guys have absolutely no logic when it comes to this. I would rather have the guy detached and away from interacting with the public, away from making life/death decisions, or decisions effecting someone's liberties. Take your time and make a case for termination that sticks, so he won't keep his job, or be able to get another job somewhere else!
Is it really that hard to understand?
You guys are like a brick wall.

Go ahead and say something totally out of context/meaning since you are a pro at it.

I have perfect logic. You have the blue tinted police blinders on that says police deserve more protections than we do.I wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool
