Im not sure which state, but here is a calculator:

Child support calculators for each state in the U.S. as well as England and Canada. Use the child support calculator to estimate how much you will pay.

And if he makes more money, they'll probably go after it.

I'll never leave my current Gf now that we have had a baby. cheaper to keep her
I'm starting to find this out myself.

im beginning the divorce process right now and my ex is out for blood. She is truly showing how evil of a person she really is. All i know is that one day she will stand before God and get to explain herself and im glad i wont be in her shoes.

I was lucky. My ex left my daughter and I when my daughter was 4. She decided to sow some wild oats and had little to no contact with her daughter for several months. She moved back to her hometown and decided she wanted a divorce but really didn't want to wait the required 6 months to file. She called me and asked if I could check into it. I went to an attorney and he told me if I wanted custody I needed to file temp orders immediately while my daughter was in my possession. With all the crap that had went on it would be a cut and dry case. If her mother filed while the daughter was visiting her it would be a battle. So i wrote a check on the spot and started the process. My ex was livid and threatened to fight me for custody. After several weeks she called to tell me that every attorney she talked to said she didn't stand a chance and would just run up a massive attorney bill for nothing. So she caved without a fight. Trying to be the nice guy I decided to not ask for child support because she was going back to school and working part time. The judge asked me to the bench at the final hearing and told me she was accountable to pay her part and he could order it even if I didn't ask for it. He also said you better be sure if the situation was reversed she would be asking for every dime she could get. I told him I didn't want a penny. I also knew her not paying any support gave her less parental influence in the courts. Wasn't six month later she was remarried and driving a new Hummer. My daughter is now going on 20 and completing her 2nd year at TCC. She has signed a lease in College Station and will be attending A&M her last two years. I have no regrets taking on 100% of the financial burden although I do look back and realize if I had asked for anything it could have been socked away in a college fund for her to use now.

Don't feel bad man and remember you are not alone . Lots of us are dealing with the same thing and it is hard but does not last forever . I might get flamed but I really believe in carma and I have seen it in the case I am having with my wife right now . I can't go into detail here because we have reached an agreement but she still has to sign but lets just say because of the person she is I believe I am being protected . Kingjason is right on with the fact that these things can bring out the inner ax murderer but with me its all about my son and my wife is not screwing with that . Keep in mind it is only money and there are more important things , you can always make more . Keep your cool , keep positive and this to shall pass .

This is intentional vagrancy, if the case gets to court the judge will notice that and calculate accordingly. Marriage is a huge liability...

That might work for some, but if one is in a profession such as engineering or holds law degree, ect. I'm sure the judge would catch on to that person flipping burgers. Cause I guarantee the other side is gonna make it known of your earnings potential.
