awesome thx!!!!!!!!!Originally posted by davbrucasI want to like Slow99 since people I know say he's a good guy, but just about everything he posts is condescending and passive aggressive.
Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

Investment merits? Price targets? Risks? Bull case/bear case/base case? How's the valuation?Originally posted by Alex View PostLaugh now, cash later.

First stock I ever bought almost six years ago. Funny thing is it is worth less today than it was back then. It's a turd in a capital intense business with earnings that can go all over the fucking map. Why buy a tech company when you can buy a company that makers crackers or band aids? Fuck a bunch of that.Originally posted by Alex View PostAmatOriginally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

It is money in the bank though, just like that Myspace deal, Linked in and Pets.com!Originally posted by slow99 View Post40 ish days away it looks like.
My bull case is that it drops 35%.
My bear case is it drops 75%
Either way I got it ranked as a solid "hold".

Had a couple of $230 April 12 calls. Had an open order I was hoping would fill tomorrow morning. Oh well, it was a gamble I took last month due to kindle numbers.Originally posted by Broncojohnny View PostIf you bought Amazon because you believe in the company over the long term then who cares? What about Apple? Or Yahoo? Or Nokia? Or RIMM?Originally posted by 347Mike View PostWhat about google?
For every company named in the tech field that is a huge success, I can point toward the graveyard filled with competitors who took their shareholder's money to their graves.
The #1 rule of the Peters fund is "Don't lose your money". It's a lesson I learned after I got my nose bloodied a few times, sticking it where it doesn't belong in businesses that I didn't understand.
Point is, I don't need or want to invest in a company that reinvents the wheel every five years. Where will Google be in five years? Shit, good luck making a convincing argument for any place you want to say. They could be in the penthouse or kicked down into the gutter. Where will McDonald's be? They'll be making shitty hamburgers that idiots love and stil selling me coffee.Originally posted by racrguyWhat's your beef with NPR, because their listeners are typically more informed than others?Originally posted by racrguyVoting is a constitutional right, overthrowing the government isn't.

Gotcha. Buying out of the money calls is a bitch, the clock is ticking against you. I have always liked selling out of the money puts because of the opposite, I have made a ton of money doing that over the years but I don't do it with just any stock either.Originally posted by momo View PostHad a couple of $230 April 12 calls.
