I've read soo many pit bull stories and most upset me as its more than likely neglect on the owners fault.. Geofster can vouch that my dogs(pit bulls) both 10 years old now are not aggressive.. protective of the house and back yard..... YES, protective of my boy? yes! would attack someone who walked in the house with me and showed no sign of threat no!
a pic of my boy after karate class and the dog just wanted to hang out... They do have a bad rap and probably wont own the breed again because of how the general public feels about them (i love to go to the dog park and take them for walks etc)
Something people dont realize is they are a terrier breed and require a lot of attention..
Pit bulls will take over your bed and there is nothing you can do about it though"PSH!!!"

The thing that concerns me most is that if that happens again and it's a person that grabs the collar not knowing that the dog will react in that violent of a way, then the person who grabs it better be damn strong or it will be hurt. Hell, my neighbor's wife weighs about 100 lbs soaking wet. If she were the one to have grabbed it, she would be in the hospital.
This kind of thing is the reason people don't get involved anymore.

Easier said then done, but the trick is keeping the dog in its domain. (i.e. fenced up)
My biggest concern for my next set of dogs is my LOW fence and them jumping it. Probably put up a underground fence.
Anyway, my point is - if we keep them penned we probably won't have these issues. Although I try to practice what I preach my vicious Corgi and Collie mix got out twice several years ago.Originally posted by MR EDDU defend him who use's racial slurs like hes drinking water.
