I think you may have missed the point of my jab at Carnival. I have been on 5 or 6 cruises, and Carnival is by far the worst cruise line.

It would depend on what happened to me as to whether that dollar amount is sufficient. If I was on the deck when the shit hit the fan and just stepped onto a boat or swam a few yards to dry land then $14K sounds reasonable.

If I was in the asshole of that ship and had to climb and crawl my way out, wondering if I was going to die or not then no fucking way I'd take $14K.

I just don't think 14K for majority of the people is that bad in the end. Of course it's still just an offer, and I'm sure they are trying to clear out as many people as they can, before the real lawsuits begin.

Yea I see your point but I'd rather take my chances on getting half of a six figure settlement vs that 14k. Hell I wad just thinking, my grandmother used to take well over 10k in jewelry alone on cruises. So unless I was the first one off that stepped in the boat and went right to shore I'd be lawyering up.

They like to get dressed up and go to the events on the cruise at night. I mean bracelet, watch, rings, necklace can easily be 5k for one night.so just imagine what older women have in their jewelry boxes.
