Chinook helicopters in Arlington?

Since I moved here a few months back I noticed chinooks coming and going from the East and West. Are they coming from the base in Ft. Worth going to the joint reserve base in Grand Prairie?

I lived in Arlington over 20 years ago and remember seeing them a lot. My guess is the JRB in Ft. Worth.

Not sure where they are going to/coming from, but it's a regular thing. They always fly directly over my place

You and me both. They fly over every 30 - 60 minutes from 3 - 7.

I remember back in the day watching the V22 Osprey fly around too back when they were new over at LTV. I lived real close to the plant.

Yep. Every time I saw one I would wonder if i was going to see it crash or not.

They land over off of Jeferson in Grand Prairie. I think its a Coast Guard Reserve or something

i would imagine army/army reserve. Most C/G I see are dolphins anymore. I'm sure its just recurrency training. I saw a ch47 sign at fuzzy tacos tonight i totally wanted to jack . OLd ass sign from i guess wolters base over here

I miss the Naval base at mountain creek being open. I used to see some cool stuff flying over the house. Even saw a jet crash off MacArthur and hunter Ferrell once. Cool seeing the chute open and the pilot drift down.

Yep, grew up watching them fly over the house.. as well as the jet engines firing off all day long.

^this. we have an Army reserve hangar next to mine and they work on them out there and launch them from there. i wouldnt want to fly on one of those things...they look like a big piece of shit.
