They will be calling me today to have my truck looked at sometime Saturday to cover for the damage. Thanks to everyone for helping me out!!!!!

Good to hear. Driver should've stopped, it's hard to have sympathy for someone getting fired when they did a hit and run - ESPECIALLY in a company vehicle that has advertising all over it. Some people don't think at all.

So, is anything even going to be done about the driver?

You owe Kyle at least a 12 pack for this. I love seeing the good guy win.

Of course not. The MAIN reason is to give po-po an excuse to pull you over because they got nothing on you.

Your whole accident and identification scenario doesn't hold water though, when you consider the other states that don't require them. So, you still have yet to have a solid plausible point on why they are required.

I say this, to say that his opinion as to why they are required is no less laughable than yours.

This and tax revenue are the real reasons as to why they are required. But Matt, other LEOs, and the DMV will never publicly admit to it.

Do as you are told and pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.

Im guessing this is also the reason why the speed limit is still 60 mph on 114 and 635? "If we increase the speed limit to 70, we can't give you a ticket err...I mean it'll cause accidents to skyrocket."

I was really hoping for a "look you fucking troll" type of response to him! Or maybe you've given him those ad naseum.

No, not really. 19 states don't require them. That's a fact. If hit and runs and identification from the front of a vehicle were such an issue in those states, they would require them as well. That's just common sense.

What is an opinion, is your opinion that front plates are necessary in TX due to hit and run accidents and the need to identify a vehicle from the front.

Tell us, Officer Smart Guy. When was the last time you pulled someone over that was driving backwards?
