I'm waiting for Taylor to come in and explain why his dog is different than a 6 year old dog that has never shown any aggression whatsoever. Please stand by...

.. and other breeds do the same thing. This one must've had teeth...

        Oh, and teeth bite. Beware.

I don't generally get involved in these pit threads, but the correlation with pit bulls to attacks here is approaching causal status; it may not be that all pits are liable to attack, but they certainly seem far more likely to. There are plenty of other breeds of dogs that have bad owners, but they don't seem to have the (media reported) frequency of attacks that pits do.

it's a media conspiracy... just like coverage of shootings/stabbings at hip-hop shows!!! they happen all the time at the symphony orchestra, they just never get reported

To say that EVERY pitbull is aggressive and a baby killer is ignorant. To say that, generally speaking, pit bulls aren't an aggressive, powerful, and often unpredictable breed is fucking stupid. That's essentially saying that all of these people are raising their dogs to be vicious aggressors. While I can't prove it, I find that harder to believe than the dogs just being aggressive.

It would take a pretty large dog to get the upper hand. And then I always have a gun or my trusty Boker knife on me. A dog won't stay attached to me long.

"We always wanted to keep him in the house for protection.” I wonder if "family argument & family dispute" means verbal or physical. It's not a good idea to argue and fight around a protective dog.

That's my point, pretty much. Dogs respond very well to their surrounding environment. This is a clean cut case of a dog with 6 year's worth of history doing the unthinkable.

Agreed, but what was interesting in this case was that the dog attacked the owner - the one the dog should be protecting.

Doubtful, and i'd throw down money that it never does happen. Call me arrogant.

And I do know he would fuck up some stranger, because i've seen him do it. Guy tried to break into our home one night and jumped over the wrong fence.

It's not that unusual. My Bulloxer was a very protective dog. I was her world. I'm the one that took her out, fed her, walked her, etc. She knew exactly what purpose she served though, and that was protection for the house/wife/kids. When I spanked my son, I'd have to close the door with her in a separate room, or she would try to bite me.
