A good liquor ..woodford

I was thinking about going out and buying some good whiskey , something tasty and smooth . I was reading about woodford , seems to have good reviews . What do y'all think ? Any other recommendations ?

Crown is only good mixed with something, as are all blended.

There's probably 11ty bazillion whiskey threads on this board alread.

I like Woodford over Knob, but my go to everyday whiskey is Jameson.

for mixing with coke I prefer Makers. for sipping I prefer Basil Haydens.

Never been a Woodford fan. Can't pinpoint what it is about the taste that doesn't do it for me.

Pendleton is ultra-smooth and where Crown has hints of rasin, Pendleton has hints of chocolate and vanilla.

I'm quite content to having like 3-4 good peaty scotches, but you get me around a bottle of Pendleton, it's going to be empty soon

Woodford is a very solid whiskey. I grabbed a bottle of the VIP last go around and it was superb.

George T. Stagg is my go to, until I run out and have to wait until Fall for the next batch to be released.

If I'm out of Stagg, then I'll have Old Weller Antique 107, Wild Turkey 101, and Maker's Mark in the cabinet to choose from.
