  • Any way of dealing with the NTTA?

Here is the deal, I sold a car back in July and I am just now getting a toll charge for tolls in August. I went online and reported that I transferred the car on the same day that I sold it. I can't find the damned printout showing that I transferred it and the NTTA is showing that the car was transferred to the new owner in September.

The NTTA is wanting proof that I sold it before those toll charges and they are being assholes about it. Hell, for three of the charges, I wasn't even in the damned country, I was floating in the Gulf of Mexico.

Am I screwed, or is there any way of retrieving the record? It's a cheap toll, but it's the principle or it!

Oh and future note, any time I sell a car, those plates are coming off, I used to be nice about it, but no more.

Just pay it. I was in the same boat as you. I should have pulled the plates and didn't. I mailed in the form to the state AND did it online and still got a letter but I couldn't find the printout either.

I just paid the $8 to not deal with the hassle.

If you call them they will look it up and remove the charges. I did it a few months ago.

I'll never pay those cocksuckers another penny. I've had it with the NTTA. I canceled my toll tags and bought stealth plates for all three of my cars about a year ago. All they get from me now is a blank LP on their cameras. http://www.gb666.com/products/show.asp?i=55

Wow, that was quick. They finally got around to billing me for $130 worth of tolls between December 2009 and August 2010, last month.

            I tried. They demand proof.

I have a tolltag account and those fucking idiots are sending me bills for a car that is on the account already. I just ignore them. If they are too god damn stupid to look in their own database then I can't help them. This happens once every couple of years it seems and I'm tired of babysitting them. I only drive on their roads when I really have to, I try to avoid them if at all possible because of this sort of shit. I can't support shitty quasi-government organizations like the NTTA.

Get a certified title history. It will show the signed and dated back of the title when you sold the car. I went through this and all of the fees were dropped. Still a pain in the ass, but taken care of.

Function 1 : Press keystroke C, front and back machine shelter or open quickly, only need 1.5 seconds

I am assuming you hit the C button right before hitting the pad where it triggers the camera?

No hits in 10 months so far. I use the tollway everyday. I did get stopped in my mustang with it turned on once. I was getting off at Custer and George Bush and got stopped. I forgot to click it back after I went through the toll. The officer was very cool. I told him it was for car shows so people wouldn't know where I live and steal my car. It just happened to be on a Friday night, and I explained I was coming home from a local car meet (coit and 121) and I guess he knew cars meet there on a regular basis. He told me it's illegal and to take it off. I thought I was going to get in trouble, but it worked out great.

If you have a signed and dated bill of sale, fax/email it to them.
