GLADEWATER, TX (KLTV) -
An East Texas boy is in a Dallas hospital after he was attacked by two pit bulls last week.

Ten-year-old Gladewater resident, Tristan Milloirn was taken to Dallas Children's after the attack. He sustained bites to one arm and both legs.

His mother says he has undergone a skin graft to help repair a large bite on the underside of his arm. She said the attack happened while her son was helping a neighbor with another one of their dogs.

"I wanted to get this out there for people to watch their children with these animals and these pit bulls, it's just in their nature," says Tristan's mother Angela.

Angela says she hopes the dogs will be euthanized.

The Upshur County Sheriff's Department says the dogs are currently being quarantined.

And since one of the dogs was on a leash and the other in a crate, the dogs will most likely be returned to the owner.
