Indeed, but even criminals are entitled to a trial instead of just being thrown into jail.

And they will get a trial... Criminals get put in jail and are forced to bond out before trial if they want to get out...

Nothing different is being done here that I see.

My guess which is pure speculation is the owners of the site have been warned previously...

They haven't stolen shit. That would be like a thief hiding stolen shit in your garage without you knowing it then you getting arrested for it being there.

More like you own a warehouse and intentionally leave it unlocked for anybody to store or take shit from.

No it would be like you opening your garage and then offering criminals to put stolen items in there. They know exactly whats going on with their website just like all of us did... They should have found a way to properly regulate it...

Well, then if he posted bond, his site should be put back up until the trial is complete. It's also an offshore company.

Any of the stuff seized in the case should not be turned back on as it is evidence. I'm sure a stipulation of his bond will be to not do what he is being investigated for until his attorneys can either show proof its not illegal or until the case is disposed of... And it was an offshore company working within the United States.

Transfer ownership temporarily, shut down the US servers. No harm no foul.
