Ya know, I was just calm, polite, and professional. I used her name a couple of times during the convo and thanked her for her time. I even told her that I realize that she probably has to deal with a lot of bogus claims, and that I just wanted to do everything the right way. I'm not saying that it made all the difference, but I bet if I was a jerk about it she might have had a tougher time finding the pot hole in question.

Man, it sucks that this happened in the first place, but now it has made my day. I'm in a better mood than I would have been had it never happened. Odd, I know.

That's crazy. I've never heard of anyone getting paid off for a pothole claim. Good job Jared.

Hmmm... I guess now would be a good time for me to tell her about my sore neck, back, concussion, and incontinence?

          JUST KIDDING!

Fess up, while you were on the phone with her you used Public Data to research her info and threatened to send the mafia to her house if they did not accept the claim, right??

I'm really surprised they are paying for it, but i'm glad it worked out for you!

The company I work for does warranty work for the D/FW airport shuttle busses. They bought brand new busses less than a year ago and they are already worn out due to the roads at the airport. We have had 4 of the real big blue busses towed in within the last 4 months with suspension damage. Those roads are no joke and really need to be redone, but that's not gonna happen anytime soon.

Just slow down when going through the airport, regardless of the speed limit.
Annoying people, one post at a time!

                          Update

Got the Explorer back last night. Had a rental car all week. Airport covered 100% of everything. Repaired wheels, new tires, alignment.

Anyway, the whole thing went smoothly and wasn't a hassle at all. I spent a total of 10 minutes on the phone and had to fill out a one-page form that only took 5 minutes. I was without my ride for a little over a week, but now i have two new tires, and the rental was comfortable.

I do find myself being extra paranoid of potholes now.

Jluv, who did you contact at the airport and what were the steps? I'm pretty sure I bent one of my wheels on the way through there yesterday. Hit an unavoidable pot hole and now I have a slow leak/new vibration.
