I always lock my doors so I'm ok on that front but what about that guy in the second story who fired a shot off in the prowlers direction? WTF Man if I lived on the other side of him or something I'd be pissed, you don't just pop one off at someone, he could have killed someone.

Not too long ago, I took a couple of my rifles to my parents house for safekeeping, due to a large number of break-ins in my apartment complex. After stowing them in my old room, my mom told me if I ever needed them, and they weren't home, to just come in, because the back door was always unlocked. That sparked a bit of a discussion/rant!

I pointed out a few news stories and whatnot, and now they keep their doors locked.
