Eric was talking about the 5.0's not the v6's that's why he made that comment.

On a side note me and my son were checking out the ZR1 and I made a comment to my son that they should have cleaned the tires. (really filthy sidewalls) The sales person over heard me and told me they can't clean the tires. Any type of cleaner that gets on the rotors causes hot spots. To replace all rotors and pads, it cost $12,000.00.

I still think they could have ran a damp rag to clean off the dust .

I caught on to that. Hence my last sentence. My bad.

Oops... My bad. Even the v6 is powerful. I rented one with the fuel economy rear end. It think 2.76 gears or close to that. It would do nearly 55 in 1st lol. Even with those gears it was still nice although the transmission might be put on a big load with those gears.

I've put 3-4K miles on a V6 Mustang rental, they're pretty nice. The first time I punched one, I was impressed. I haven't driven a V6 Camaro but would like to.

I don't think I could buy one though, go big or go home.

I predict another slow down in HP competition similar to the late 70's and early 80's in the next decade in the effect that it will level off soon. EPA and gas prices will screw it all up for us.

I envision the same. But, fast cars will back again, just maybe eletric or hydrogen powered.

Although I'm not sure if you consider it much of a car you buy for real speed, I've driven a new Tesla and was not in shock or awe. Plus it was a bitch to get in and out of and was just really weird getting on it and it being so crazy quiet.

I would willing to bet the Mustang might have a tad more on the Camaro (v6) , pretty much the same as the 5.0 vs the SS.

The Camaro is pretty darn hard to see out of . Lots of blind spots.

I can't help but to hope and think they are still built better than the Jap cars. I see a lot of old Camaro and Mustang V6's still on the road now days.

Open the trunk on the Camaro before you decide to buy.

I drove a 6 baner 2012 this weekend. I really did not car for the shifting. It just didn't feel smooth at all. It felt like it took forever for the tranny to shift from 1-2 and 2-3.

Maybe that is just me. I haven't driven a new mustang in 9 years, so maybe i was expecting more.

The camaro looks like a toy and as said before has to many blind spots. Plus the camaro's 19" tires are expensive!
