I listen to NPR a lot, and you hear stories from all over the nation... all over the world... financial trouble, famine, disease, etc.

nobody ever talks about the fact that if people would QUIT SHITTING OUT KIDS, a lot of these problems would magically subside in one generation

Pit owners, like it or not, your dogs have a history more than any other dog of being aggressive so you shouldn't be offended when people are nervous or don't approve of them. It doesn't mean you cannot own them of course.

Bottom line is all dogs bite. If they have teeth, they will do damage, regardless of a perceived temperament. Pit bulls do the most damage and are paired with the dumbest owners, which is a recipe for disaster.

Not all pit owners are bad, but all dogs can attack. Damage from a pit is exponentially worse, and the owner more often than not is not suited for the responsibility.

We had a Chi-hua-hua when I was a kid that was the meanest damn dog.

Conversely, my wife and I have had 3 mini-wiener dogs over the last 20 years and each one was as good as gold. None of them EVER showed an aggressive moment towards a person, be it adult or child. They do like to "play fight" where they growl and tackle each other, but that's the most aggression I've ever seen out of the dogs.

My daughter has a small scare under her eye from when she was 2yo and was giving my sisters family dog, a shitzu (sp) a hug and it didnt like it for some reason and snapped her right in the cheek......no one could have seen it coming but it happened , now if it had been a larger dog who knows what the outcome might have been

you are talking to a man with a daughter who since age 16 (now 20) has had 11 major surgeries to try and keep her life on track......go pedal that bullshit somewhere else !!

you always hear the doc's say "well only theres only 1%" of patients this procedure this doesnt work for.....well when you kid is the 1% it makes a difference
