I have two kids, and they are around 2 pits several times a week. Granted, one of the pit bulls is only 4-5 months old. The other has to be 8 years old by now, and has been around my oldest his whole life. Never once have I had any reason to worry. Perhaps I'd feel differently with someone else's dogs, and as a responsible parent you have to be cautious around ANY unfamiliar dog, but my friend's dogs would only lick them to death. And tries to do so every time he sees them.

I am of the opinion that the dog comes after the kids... especially a breed like a pit bull.

My wife delivered a baby for a 12 year old girl. Her mom was 26 and the grandmother was 41.

I listen to NPR a lot, and you hear stories from all over the nation... all over the world... financial trouble, famine, disease, etc.

nobody ever talks about the fact that if people would QUIT SHITTING OUT KIDS, a lot of these problems would magically subside in one generation

To each their own, but I'd rather err on the side of caution personally with a bigger dog around the house. This is one of those deals where you don't really get a second chance if a big dog attacks a 0-?? year old.
