It's about knowing the dog and how it was treated. My last rottweiler, I would trust with ANY kid at any time. That dog could not be mean if he wanted to. My latest rottie, not so much, she is grouchy. Any sign of being mean = don't trust them with kids or other people.

Im not really on either side of the argument but I was watching judge Judy the other day and there was a defendant who adopted a 3 year old pitbull. within two weeks escaped and mauled another dog. Her defense? Oh the dog is harmless and this dog plays with my niece and nephew.. Lmao judge Judy blew up on her to say the least.
