Figured I'd get some people in here with that. But it's true. I made a nice sunday drive down to north carolina today in the cobra (about 30 miles of winding roads one way) and on the way back I got pulled over. I was going the speed limit which was 55 mph and went around a turn that was caution marked for 35 mph. In the crest of the turn a cop just so happened to be going the other way. He put his lights on and turned around and started to catch up to me. When I saw him put his lights on I figured it was for me for some reason, lol. So I started to slow down and find a place to pull over. (It's out in the middle of nowhere and there is no shoulder) So I find a little spot to pull over and he pulls in behind me. He waits in his car for probably 2 mins or so before he gets out. (I'm assuming that he was running my plate) When he comes up to my door he says, "son, why were you driving so fast..... cause you could??" I kind of chuckled and said, "sir, I was doing the speed limit" He asked if that's what my spedometer said and I said "yes sir". Asked me what I had under the hood and I said a 4.6L V8. He asked for my license and registration which I gave, then he asked if I was in the military. I said yes sir and he handed me my info back. He said, "I tell you what, let me see under the hood right quick" So I popped the hood and got out to open it so that he could see. He made a few statements and said that it looked nice. He also asked me to elaborate, so I told him the more significant details of the car and what kind of power it makes. He said wow, and told me that he wasn't going to hold me up any longer. Said nice car and get out of here and be safe.
Thought he was pretty cool, he could have given me a ticket for window tint at the least without looking too hard. Props to the cool cops out there, I know there are a few.
