  • camera lens question?

    whats the best lens for shooting across basketball soccer and baseball fields? is it the 55-250mm? thanks gents ..

    Depends on how much you have to spend.


    Outdoor lighting doesn't need a large f-stop (like f2.8) which means a reasonably priced consumer lens.

    Indoor lighting needs professional grade lenses because flash is usually prohibited. You need a f2.8 or better.

      Extremely variable question if you ask me. Although a good low f stop lens would be best without a doubt, they are costly. I shoot a lot of softball and get lost of my good shots with a 18-135. I'll use my 55-250 if I want outfield shots. 300 would be good to have for baseball. What camera re you using?

          The Nikkor 70-200MM f2.8 is a bad ass lens, but its 2 grand... Its made for exactly what you asked it to do.
