I'll save that for another day, lol. I've been reading up on chemoembolization so much that my head hurts. My Mom gets out (or should) early tomorrow morning and she's having some issues.
Yeah, much more important things going on in your life right now.

Wiki my ass. I was a Paramedic for Rural Metro and a part time BTLS/ACLS student aid instructor at NCTC. Your feeble attempts at minimizing my qualifications or debasing me do nothing but reveal your rather obtuse view of the medical profession outside of being an ER physician.

You're talking to someone who had a 4.0 GPA and nearly aced the state test. And passed the National Registry test the first attempt, when the average failure rate is 66%.

You obviously can't step out the long shadow cast by your ego long enough to actually interact with a seasoned medic. You'd be surprised at what we know and are taught to do outside the scope of our training. I bet you would even be surprised that in Texas we are trained and capable of doing Chric's in the field and do Intraosseous IV's on infants in the field, if necessary. You have no idea buddy. You think we are a glorified taxi service. You have concept whatsoever of what it takes mentally or physically to ride in the box on 12 hour shifts posting in central and west Ft. Worth. Just because you are an M.D., make a reasonable effort to keep your hubris in check. Because you show your ignorance regarding Paramedicine every time you accuse me of being a Googler. I have a fucking diploma on the wall, dude. And there was no god damn internet when I was in school.

You have NO concept of Paramedicine or working in a pre-hospital environment based on the remarks you've made to me. Step off the podium and stop seeing EMS personnel as taxi drivers. It grossly illustrates your ignorance about that particular vocation.

Take a moment of pause and realize there are others out there beside yourself that have medical training and knowledge.

How about you go out and try being responsible for a 100K 10,500 lbs. Type III ambulance with all it's equipment, your EMT, your patient, the general public, yourself, the brown narcotics box that is stuck in your pocket, and dealing with a litigious public that tries to drag medics to court every chance they get. Try posting in little mexico in Ft. Worth at 2am trying to get a moments sleep and being woken up by hearing gun fire in close proximity.

I've had a Vet shake my hand one time and say thank you for a successful capture of PSVT using Adenosine in the parking lot of his Apt. He thought/felt like he was going to die. He looked me in the eye and said thank you. So, fuck you and your Google bullshit.

I try being your friend. I've shared personal stuff with you in confidence because I thought you had more substance than what you show publicly on the forums. And you still belittle me with your I'm a M.D. and you're a fucking ant BS. I've probably walked in just as much blood and guts as you have my friend.
What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I've ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

As far as my knowledge of prehosiptal medicine...I was the asst EMS director at my last gig and my closest friend is a paramedic and has been for 20yrs. I fully respect what they do and know the training that they go through. And it surely doesnt include the depth that you go into on some of these medical issues that arise on here...you really need to leave yourself alone.

People ALWAYS use that as an excuse when they put their foot in their mouth.

Man up, accept that YOU said it (not the alcohol) and deal with the consequences of your own throughts and actions.

El oh el. You are a true superhero. I love how you always bring up the single psvt case. You pushed 6 of adenosine. Wow. Try a couple rounds of 12 and it not work so you have to shock them

You seem like a smart guy but pull your head out of your ass and realize you are not a god to mankind. Being responsible for a truck and equipment isn't a Big deal. Keeping yourself and your partner safe is.

Hmm....the scenario you've mentioned has happened to be probably more times than you're capable of counting. 6/12/12 then cardioversion. Yea, moron. A Paramedic will have probably 10 of those calls over a period of a month in some cases in urban areas. You're being naive.

I think you have me confused with Dr. Dave. Not a big deal in regards to being responsible with your equipment? Are you serious? Try turning in your narcotics box at the end of the shift with anything missing without any documentation in your run reports to substantiate the use of or dosage.

You people just make arbitrary guesses and minimize the EMS profession. I guess it makes you feel better in someone way to make disparaging remarks against people whom you look down upon. You accuse me of a god complex. Read some of Dave's post. Delusions of grandeur. And EMS is shit. And I am always answering questions outside the scope of my training...blah, blah.

How many babies have you delivered big bad ass Nurse guy? Guess how many this lowly ignominious Paramedic has? How many mega codes have you run? How many Placental Abruption patients have you treated? Status Epilepticus without a lucid interval? GSWs? Traumatic degloving? etc...When you get a couple of SIDS cases with an inconsolable mother screaming in your ear, then come talk to me. Otherwise, you are talking out of your ass regarding me or my experience. It's like being an arm chair QB watching a game. You're not taking the beating, you're just watching and critiquing with impunity.

Damn, how does one be so naive. A bunch of mindless dolts that have this misconception about EMS. Yea, I guess some people are right. It's one expensive taxi ride. Then don't call 911 next time you're distress. They can't help you. We're all a bunch of incompetent misanthropes with a god complex.

dude...you need to stop drinking and pull whatever is in your ass...out.

Im not here to disrespect EMS.. I have nothing but respect for them. When I get out of school, I will be doing the brookhaven RN to medic and be working EMS as well. I really feel as though you have some type of complex and you feel that no one respects your opinion. This place is based on opinion and just put yours out there. If people dont like it, fuck them. If people were truly worried about their medical status, they would seek medical help, not opinions of a bunch of idiots here on the board.
