May of 2010 I borrowed a high lift jack to pull out the concrete from previous fence post (which works great btw), and we've talked about getting the jack back to him for almost 2 years now, so it's become a running joke between Matt and I, plus he's got a crush on my old lady so I think he's just trying to wait till I kill myself in the race car then swoop in for his "jack".

He won't need the jack at that point.

I was thinking about just doing a sneaky shot of nitrous and leaving it alone, but I think I am going to cam it and do longtubes. Not right now since I want to feel out the car and make sure there are no warranty issues I want to take car of first, but then she'll get "tuned".

Sarah is absolutely in love with the car, we car-pool to work (live in ft worth/both work in dallas), so whatever I do it has to be tasteful so she doesn't loose interest in it, its nice to have her in to it.

On a side note I went and got my temp plate this morning so all is well in the world.

Nope. I've just worked on, driven and tuned several C6 Vettes and it's nit the car for me. Parts are more expensive because of the Corvette tax, and wait until you do a clutch or break your rear end due to wheel hop.

                  lol!!!

Actually I would own a C6Z06 if my fat/old ass could get in and out of it. Hell I had to un-lower the Cobra just so I can get in and out of that black bitch!

I was working on Venix's C6Z06, it had the lowering kit installed on it, I should have video taped me getting in and out and sent it to Americas Funniest Home videos and I would have won 10k.

This one is not lowered and I have to say, that is my only gripe at this point. The car is really low and you can scrap the air damn pretty easily. Our Cobra is lowered and it looks like tall as hell next to this car. Getting in and out isn't really a problem (27 and workout all the time), but I can see how it'd be a PITA for older folks or larger folks for sure. My house is up on a hill so the driveway has a pretty aggressive approach angle from the street, somehow it doesn't scrape going up but I have to hit it at an crazy angle to get the passenger tire up first. On the way home last night I got real concerned after realizing how low it is thinking about what I'd do if it somehow couldn't make it. I was very relieved that even though it takes some finesse, it makes it up no problem.

I dont see why people lower tham anymore than they are. They seem low enough for me and like you said if it were lowered anymore you would be buying the front air dam all the time or taking it off completly. Venix's car came lowered when he bought it but holy shit that thing was a PITA, the rocker panel was almost on the ground.

Sounds crazy but I'd actually raise it if there were an easy way!
