    Dread
I wish I could edit the title.

    I'll be damned, you can!

So if he was texting and driving, he should lose his truck, pretty simple. Too many fucktards on the road that cant multitask, I literally almost get hit daily by someone texting and not paying attention to the task at hand (Driving), every single day.

        Exactly. To you.

Punishment will be substantial, including no driving privileges to non-essential destinations for several weeks.

Id sell the truck, based on the texting deal alone. And if he wants another vehicle, he can pay for it on his own. Tough lesson learned, but he isn't going to learn if you don't do something drastic.

I might be in the market, too.

Accidents happen, that is understandable. But since he was texting he deserves some good punishment. Loss of driving priveledges, his phone (which would drive anyone crazy going without a phone) and I'd also suggest having him work off whatever the estimate cost is to fix both cars. Hit him where it counts, his wallet and time with his friends. Having to pay the actual cost of the repairs would be something to sting enough to remember for awhile.

and make him stand on a busy intersection corner with an A frame sign saying..."I texted while driving" or something to that effect.

Definitely make him pay for it, and just cancel his texting.

Didn't you threaten to sell the truck after he gave someone a ride on day 1 of license against the parental orders?

                              Off with his head!
