What happened to all the ricers?

The 911 seems to bring them out of the woodwork....fairly frequent that I'll have some fart canner trying to get next to me...then eventually downshift and speed away once they realize I'm not at all interested....funny thing is, I wonder how many of them have gone back to their friends bragging about beating a 911 b/c they sped off away from me when I wasn't even racing them.

I've also had several of those lnfinity G-cars pull up on me....I gave one a go once, and it was bad enough that I wasn't sure if he was really racing or not.

I haven't had any Mustangs pull up on me, but several Vettes and newer Camaro's have....seems they always want to go.

Same here. Although I did race a supercharged lightning a few weeks back on Galloway and I was really surprised that I won. But I have had some ricers try to race me and I just ignore them

Oh, they are still out there in spades my friend. I don't have any problems when daily driving my super quiet stock looking GTO. However, when I take the Mustang out for a spin, I'm a freakin' ricer magnet. They see those a-pillar gauges and hear that s/c whistle and it's like catnip to those assholes. One guy in some ricermobile with a folgers can exhaust tip, pulled up next to me at a stop light on the way back from last weeks meet. This guy was bouncing it off the rev limiter until the light went green. I just idled through the intersection and laughed waiting for that thing to start spitting parts and oil, but unfortunately it didn't happen.

You are doing it wrong then (car doesnt look or sound fast)... When I was in my 86 or my dad's 90(both YSi cars), the ricers steered CLEAR of me... I would just laugh if they even glanced a thought about it. A quick blow off rev usually made them change lanes or turn off, if not just slow way the fuck down...

if you've got a 3 liter I6 that will hold 1000rwhp and a 6.0 liter V8 that will only hold 800, the 3 liter wins

I have a whole new respect for the 240's, my girlfriends cousin has one that put down over 850hp. No body kit but it looks like you could stick a basketball in the end of his exhaust, lol.
