      lol I remember when I was in HS several people got a few different photos made and would make up aliases. One year there was a guy in it 3 times, one of his names was John Holmes.

        It's not the school, it's the two (male) yearbook editors. Their stance is that the school's yearbook has a history or winning awards for the yearbooks published and they don't want to jeopardize their chances because she's an attention whoring skank (their phrase was 'tasteless photo,' so I took some liberties in my elaboration.)
        It looks like she may have the backing from the administrators on being able to have this photo in the book. It's really a shame. If they're smart, the yearbook team will set official rules on the pictures for next year, which ruins things for everyone. I'd rather have published one of my professional senior pictures than the generic headshot taken by my high school's contract photographer.
