What kind of realistic MPG she getting? I think if it go the advertised 24 on the HWY that would be pretty dang good.
Hows the road noise at HWY speeds?

It's slim Pickens anymore if you want a performance driven 4 door with a manual. Didn't know if u wanted manual or auto tho. My buddy was in ur shoes a year ago. He was pissed at how much they wanted for em and how they werent budging on the price. Same on Evo's. He loved the evo but hated the chinsy interior and the high revving buzzing at highway speeds that close ratio trans was above 3k at 65. He ended up with a sweet '11 Subaru Legacy GT 6 spd. Nice ride with 4wd and turbo.

And pretty much repeating what I've already stated in this thread, I've driven the GT & GXP. Both were awesome inside and out. The G8 interior is very modern with plenty of bells and whistles. You can't go wrong with a G8. Even the L76 runs pretty strong, if you want to spend a little less coin than going after the LS3 G8s.

In fact, the aggressive side bolstering on the factory seats is one of the highlights you can mention. The color matched instrument cluster with EVIC is pretty cool on the GTOs. Radio/CD changer controls on the steering wheel, etc.. It's an unassuming car in regards to the exterior design, so that's why it doesn't appeal to everybody. You get an LSx motor and IRS with good MPG. Not a bad package IMO.

attack mode? c'mon bud that's not attack mode, I just think they look like a beefy cavalier.
I don't see where I asked for a GTO opinion, do you? Since you brought it up, it's not okay for me to share my feelings on it? You would have never got a GTO opinion if you didn't bring it up.
I will say the GTO has a great motor option for the car and I would be all on board but they just didn't do enough on exterior design.

you asked for a G8 opinion and I gave it. you felt the need to talk shit about GTOs without ever having sat in one despite the fact that my ONLY comparison was based on the interiors. I compared it to the GTO because it was a GTO replacement. Both built in Australia by Holden. The G8 interior is low rent compared to its predecessor. I will agree that the exterior styling on the G8 is a step up but most GTOs look a lot better (less cavalier like) once you lower them and put a decent set of wheels on it.1971 Ford Torino - Time to go bigger and better.

you're the guy geting all butt hurt about me saying a GTO is ugly...
Thanks for all the feedback though from everyone, it's a lot easier to ask people on here as they give a brutal honest opinion and notice the little things. As for stuck going 12's w/ a G8... that's okay by me.

the 1st gen GTO's were so-so, but I actually LIKED the fact that they looked kinda like generic GM cars (aka cavalier)
but then they went and put that nostril hood on it and it totally killed it for me
yes, I realize the G8 has nostrils also. I hate them too, but the rest of the car and the fact that no other manufacturer made anything to compete makes it somewhat acceptable
