because I want the comfort of driving an Auto in daily traffic and the ability of my wife to jump in and drive it w/ kids on board w/ no concerns? Why would I add an extra risk when kids are involved...

Even if I had the choice, I'd probably take an auto in the new 5.0, it's proven itself to be far better than the manual

I do not own one, so it wouldn't be fair for me to speak on it. I know 2 guys here locally that have had issues since they were purchased. The auto's have shown they can take a shitload of power already

didn't mean to sound like a bitch, we share cars as it is, just 2 for the household. It might be different if we could afford 3, but I prefer to pay my house off early. If I'm grabbing something w/ the jeep, I don't want her to have to sweat it, she thought my stock notch was "powerful" w/ the 5spd

I have seen a black one in the Little Elm area with a blonde chick driving it. From what I can tell it is lowered, aftermarket wheels, exhaust, maybe a cam and I could swear I heard some sort of FI. It sounded REALLY good and looked good as well.

GTO looks like dogpiss compared to the G8, unless of course you like cavaliers then it's on point. Haven't been able to compare interiors in person though...but never heard any highlights of GTO interiors, but if that's the case the G8 interior must be bad
