    Wow!

This story has as much traction as the blonde "model" that got her hand chopped off.

Edit. Looks like shaggy was already linked.

        • Ron Eddins lives at 3000 Burney Lane in Southlake. Home is registered to Ron C and Michelle Eddins. I wonder what Michelle thinks of Ron staying at the Hilton, getting two college aged kids drunks, taking them to a strip club on Northwest Hwy, and then killing all of them on the way back speeding.

Michelle can kiss that 11,500 sq ft house goodbye along with a good chunk of whatever assets they have accumulated when plaintiff attorneys for the two kid's families file a civil suit against his estate.

Wellllll she filed for divorce on 12/27, so it will be interesting.

I figured that might be why he was staying at the Hilton. Yeah, this is going to be MESSY.

I'm guessing the first one with paperwork filed wins.

With the Texas dram shop laws, all three parties can go in together and sue the bar.

Luckily for the bar in Southlake, it sounds like they left 2.5 - 4.5 hours BEFORE the crash, so they might have some leverage on their side. I'm going to assume they went to another establishment, and THAT one is going to have a rough time in court if indeed they did go somewhere else.

I have no idea how the timing works. Filing for divorce means they are still married until divorce is final, so possibly the will invokes at this point and whatever the will says goes. That said, the two kid's families will sue the estate which probably includes all the assets of Ron and his estranged wife, that aren't in trusts, etc.

Crazy stuff. It's a sad situation, but I don't have a lot of sympathy for plaintiff attorneys who make a ton of money on asbestos litigation, particularly when they use "gross negligence" as a big hammer to go after defendents. Ron was clearly massively grossly negligent in this case.
