They are saying the accident started a LONG way from where the car ended up. Wonder how fast that dumbass was going when he lost it.

Police and firefighters found two bodies Wednesday inside a car submerged in an Irving canal.
A maintenance crew noticed debris and a broken guard rail along the canal embankment, which runs beneath West Northwest Highway west of Riverside Drive, about 2:40 p.m, according to police spokesman John Argumaniz.
Divers recovered an unidentified dead man and woman from the car. The spokesman said investigators believe the car left the highway at a high rate of speed and plunged into the water at an unknown time -- an apparent single-vehicle accident.

IRVING — Rescue crews in Irving pulled two bodies from a canal late Wednesday afternoon.
The bodies were inside a badly-mangled black Porsche Panera in the water near the 5600 block of Riverside Drive.
Investigators said the male driver was likely going too fast before the fatal plunge.
"We believe speed is going to be a contributing factor," said Irving police spokesman Stephen Burres. "As for how fast that is, I couldn't tell you."
The Panera is a high-end sports car. Porsche's Web site says it is capable of going 188 mph and costs upwards of $150,000.
So far, only the driver of the car has been identified. Both victims were found wearing seatbelts.
The car was completely submerged when it was discovered by maintenance workers who first saw a toppled stop sign and damaged guard rail.
A dive crew was able to hook up the car to a crane and pulled it out of the water at dusk.
Irving police are still investigating the circumstances that led to what appears to have been an accident. They didn't find any evidence of alcohol inside the car, but haven't yet ruled out that the driver may have been intoxicated.
