No. The Fed mandates ethanol in the gas, so losing the subsidy only makes it cost more which makes your gas cost more.

Lots of corn farmers in OK. I also noticed on my last trip up there nearly every station has "off road diesel". I can only assume its the non low sulfur blend. Don't see that around here either. Or I haven't at least.

From what I understand, it's to do with population densities, ergo large cities. Having said that, I'm told OKC has gas stations that advertise "no ethanol", so I'm not sure exactly how OK does it, but I'm glad it does!

ethanol is very bad for small engines and boats, something about the makeup of the ethanol/gasoline breaks down pretty quick and separates and eats up fuel lines and seals like crazy

Ethanol is horrible for carbureted cars that do not get driven a whole lot. Just had to clean a brand new carburetor that maybe has 50 miles on it. It eats away at orings and gaskets and leaves small black shit everywhere in the carb.

Everything you said there is true. It will just take a little time to get the marketing agreements in place and start shipping ethanol to US refineries for mixing with gasoline.

I wonder if they have enough tankers that can resist the corrosivness of ethanol for shipping?

E85 is hardly any cheaper then regular fuel anymore. I'm glad I never did the e85 tune.

I dont think people switch to it cause of its price.. its the fact that you can make 100+ more HP with it

and HP guys dont compare it to regular, its compared against super which is usually around .70c different

You can make 100 more hp if your running forced induction. I was told on my old mustang (2011 gt) that it would increase power by around 20 hp.
