Would BJ not do some digging to ensure they were selling what they are claiming to sell?

Do you really think they would do research that proves a high-dollar car is a fake?

I know of a few examples where these bigtime auction houses were told that some car was inaccurate or even a clone of an original, and they did not change the listing or inform the bidders. Those guys are out to make money, and they are not responsible for the accuracy of the listings. Just like everywhere else - buyer beware.

Of course they're going to say it is "Lee 1" to try and get the most money for it at the already ridiculously inflated Barret-Jackson auction. It'll be interesting if someone actually tries to make them prove it is "Lee 1". I mean hell there were only 300+ cars used, surely it wouldn't be that hard to identity, right? I doubt they kept a VIN record of which car was number 1, 2, 3, etc.

There were MANY General Lees. Basically, they junked one every time they jumped creek beds, etc.

Who gives a fuck if its Lee 1 or Lee 300. I like 69-71 Chargers....but I don't want one painted like that. 68's are ok but I prefer the split grille and long tail-lights.
