I used to like cops ok, and then over time I stopped trusting them and disliked them more and more. When I started hanging out here with the constant barrage of FTP stories, it gave me more and more reason to say fuck the police. I can't remember the last time I heard of an officer, locally or nationally, doing something good, but hardly a day goes by I don't hear of some arrogant prick thinking he is above the law. Some of the cops on this forum don't help their case much either; seems like every time someone on here posts a story about seeing a cop doing something wrong, a forum cop posts links to legislation and saying "no, cops can do that see we don't follow the laws you do". And I used to want to be a cop years ago before I woke up and realized during the application process that I did not want to be part of an organization that is supposed to protect rights but thinks they are above them.I don't like Republicans, but I really FUCKING hate Democrats.
Sex with an Asian woman is great, but 30 minutes later you're horny again.

Hardly a burn because it's incorrect.
The exemptions allow officers to work contrary with existing regulations to perform duties. How else would it be legal for officers to speed to catch speeders, run red lights in a pursuit, or block traffic on the freeway for an accident? Try doing these things in a personal vehicle and there will be consequences. I've seen posts about you guys bitching about police cars with limo tint, when we can't have that on our personal cars. How do you think the squad cars get inspected with limo tint? Becuase there is an exemption.
I'm not saying that it's allright to drive around with one headlight, because it isn't. That car should be deadlined and fixed. Same with any other light on the car. If the police are going to cite people for equipment, then theirs should work too.
And, like Evil Sean said, ignorance isn't an excuse. How many times have you heard "I didn't know that was against the law" and you still got somebody for it?
