Anyone ever striped a dobro (or another guitar) here?

Got a great Christmas present from my folks, was thinking about personalizing it. I recall seeing someone do striping on this board, any ideas on that?

I was thinking about keeping it subtle and classy, maybe all black or dark brown line work, here's the Dobro attached...

Thanks it sure is, has a sweet sweet tone as well! I just think it would be super cool to personalize it, maybe add my folks names and the year they gave it to me on back, and a little line detail to the shapes, especially since there aren't any binding straps on the instrument.
