We seriously found their "main area" and it looks like there are a shit load of them in there. When the two of us were out earlier there were guys deeper in with dogs hunting, and the hogs had end arounded them. We ran into about a dozen at about 12 and headed them back to the guys. My buddy shot at a couple but likely didn't connect. I held off wanting a clear shot. Yesterday I was down there alone and ran across at least 15 crossing the dirt road in front of me. I split them and had at least four pacing me through the canes that were trying to get across to the others. Parked the bike and just barged in like Rambo. Probably lucky on that one...
Literally over 50 acres that is rooted to hell and back, with at least another 50 of cat tail reeds that they bed in. Got to be a shitload of hogs in there.

Any tips on point of aim for hogs? I have yet to shoot one and my brother-in-law is saying he's seeing evidence of them at the family farm in Springtown. I was planning of aiming at the heart area like when deer hunting, but I saw a Youtube of a guy saying he aims right behind the ear."Self-government won't work without self-discipline." - Paul Harvey

We usually hunt them at night and it's pretty scary at times crawling through the bush. Can't tell you how many times we have all but stepped on a wounded hog. Now that shit will wake you up in a hurry.
My girl loves that shit tracking hogs. I had her on her hands and knees with her 357 tracking the one I hit a few weekends ago through some heavy shit. Tracked it about 30 yards and it was just small pin drops of blood so I called off the search. Shes been hunting since she was about 7.. I just strated hunting this year and I'm 32 lol...Comment
