Anyone that is considered by the law to be impaired and then drives is a fucking idiot and deserves whatever punishment they are dealt. If you abide by the law and are not over the legal limit then you have nothing to worry about on a piddly little breathalyzer. Most people won't even be bothered unless you give the officer a reason to suspect you of being drunk or over the legal limit.

Most bonds are set anywhere from $500 to $3500 for first time dwi. Then for refusal to blow, your license is suspended.

Your license would get suspended either way. Refusing to blow would give you a longer suspension.

While I have to work New Years Day and won't be drinking, no-refusal weekends are bullshit. Profiling will rampant. Don't forget, that you don't have to blow over .08 to be arrested. It's up to the cops discretion. Even if you're found innocent, it's still gonna cost you thousands of dollars.

No cop is ever going to turn my life upside down, ever. I don't just give in to corruption and dirty politics. If they want to give it a go they can go ahead and come get some. I've got the cash to make them wish they hadn't bothered.

I don't let anybody go because of their legal status. I'm very disciplined when I'm at work. I'm also very neutral. I've let people go and have them call someone to pick them up.
