I have a question for the police on this one. Say I get pulled over and ask to do a field sobriety test. How big of a fuss are they going to make if I get out with my cane and tell them about my dizzy spells due to my injuries?

If you have "dizzy spells" maybe you shoudnt be driving? You dont have to be intoxicated to be an impaired driver.

Especially anything that requires me to use multiple facilities at once, like focusing on walking a straight line, remembering my alphabet backwards or from any random point or my favorite, closing your eyes while touching your nose. I do that, right now stone sober, I'm falling. So, how do they handle that?

Depends on the cop then...one like we have on here you will likely get thanked for your service and told to have a nice day. But if you get pulled over by a LEO with an ego, then you will likely get detained and made to prove that you are not intoxicated...up to the point of an arrest for being impaired despite a negative BAC.

Anyone that is considered by the law to be impaired and then drives is a fucking idiot and deserves whatever punishment they are dealt. If you abide by the law and are not over the legal limit then you have nothing to worry about on a piddly little breathalyzer. Most people won't even be bothered unless you give the officer a reason to suspect you of being drunk or over the legal limit.

Most bonds are set anywhere from $500 to $3500 for first time dwi. Then for refusal to blow, your license is suspended.
