Isn't your case different because you're your son's custodian? I was always under the impression that they would only go under 20% for the first child if there is a second child, in a second household, and both children have been before the courts.

I was simply saying a pay cut that large will hurt anyone. There's always a way to make it work, but that's a huge chunk he is losing.

You may not be paying CS on Kenny, but they're pretty much treating it as so, because you're his custodial parent.

Footer, you are really jumping the gun. I am irresponsible with a lot of things but money and my kiddos arenot two of them. This pay cut may not even happen but I am trying to prepare for it. Worst case, my 01 gt, 02 tahoe, and my 2 foxes are long paid for and I could always sell to hold me over a little longer. My luxury items such as cable, internet, and gym memberships are all month to month so i can cancel those and just got with out. There is actually a 9 year gap between my kids (10 and 1) so don't crucify too quickly

If you pay child support to someone it is, unfortunately, in your best interest to keep that person on your good side. It is not ultimately up to the AG office on what you pay. It can be an agreement between you two on how much you pay.
