A man can beat a child support case..The best thing to do is file FIRST!!!! This does make a difference..(this is what I was told by a few different attorneys)...And whatever you do, dont talk trash about the mother..Its not about making them look bad, its about making yourself look good...This was the advice of my attorney and we won the case..Did any of this help? Dont know. all I know is I won the case

oh and I have not seen a dime from the mother...right now she is around 20k behind...But I dont care

It's just keeping up appearances. Mediation is one thing, I offered my ex way more time then the enhanced standard visitation and no child support, I would even allow her to decide where our daughter lived even with me being named primary. She wasn't having any of it. Won't ever know if it was all her or a combo of her and her attorney.

In the end, I don't really care because it was never my case to win. It was her's to lose. All I care about is maintaining my relationship with my daughter and making sure she never things badly of me.

^This. I love how they force the non-custodial parent to make payments through the OAG, the funds don't get deposited for 10-14 days AND they now charge the custodial parent a yearly service fee AND a monthly transaction fee.

It's real easy to get out of child support in Texas, just move to California. My son is almost 17 and my wife has seen maybe $2500 over the last 16+ years, and that was money from the very beginning when he lived in Texas in '94. And even though my wife and I have given the State of California every home and employers address and phone number where he's been over the years(via his family members that hate that he is a deadbeat) California has still not done jack shit. It seems California doesn't care to enforce child support orders on deadbeats that don't pay. I honestly couldn't care less about the money, I just wanted to make him feel the burden of responsibility for a change since not only has he had a free ride financially he also has not had any contact with my son.

My thoughts are that the courts won't care about the second child because of what you said; he lives with me. My logic says it should matter because I obviously do infact support another child. The problem is the courts aren't always logical. I'm afraid to open this can of worms but my pay is subject to drop 20k annual with in the week.

If you already have an attorney on retainer I would get your company to give you an official notice on company letterhead and signed by the CFO stating that your wage will be changed to "XX" amount on "XX" date fo r"XX" reason, so your attorney can get the ball rolling right now. The longer you wait the worse it will look to the judge. Like you only want less child support because of over spending, etc, if you were to wait awhile. If you don't have an attorney, call and set up an appointment with one asap.
