I bought the $100 "dent puller" kit. It's a stud welder, studs, and slide hammer. Worked great and I was able to pull out some serious damage with it. Well worth the price.

I usually can't leave there without something I see that I might "need" in the future.

The sawzalls I have bought there are junk, the gears strip at the first sign of the blade binding or grabbing. The 4 1/2 grinder blades used to be a great deal, but they have jacked the price up $2.50 a pack of 5, so not so great now. The same with welding wire, the 2 pound rolls were $4.99, now they are $7-$9.

Basically, only had tools, and even then, make sure they don't have moving parts. I have broke three 3/8" ratchets with just my hands, no cheaters on them.

The mig welder I bought on sale for like $90 still works great, it just has a short duty cycle when running it at max voltage.

Nothing spectacular, but they're cheap and since I picked up both sets it seems like I'm always using a piece or two for something.

Amazing deals on this 5Pc Trim/Molding Tool Set at Harbor Freight. Quality tools & low prices.

DO NOT buy the tree loppers. The $12 pair at walmart does a much better job.

I had one pair from HF (light green) that the pins that hold the two cutters together sheared. Then I bought the expandable pair (dark green) that ratchets and the damn handle tube bent at a 90 deg angle.

I just pick up miscellaneous hand tools. Never really buy any of their big stuff.

I will probably end up buying a jack and stands from them soon.

I just went thru this yesterday. I bought 49.28 worth of rags, gloves, electrical tape, trash bags and micro fiber. I hit that gift card right on the money.

I will say though the best thing I ever bought from them is my 50.00 electric impact gun. Blows my air impact out of the water and has been going strong for over three years.

I have an HF compressor, works fine but charge time on it is longer than the nicer ones. Also have the standup multi speed drill press, i've used the hell out of it and it works great. IMO their stepped drill bits suck ass, i burnt one up within 10 minutes of opening it on some relatively thin and soft metal (yes i used lubricant).

Their furniture dollies are okay, and the magnetic tow light set i got from them got me from dfw to pdx.
