Agreed. If people used cars as tools, rather than status symbols, everyone with kids would own one.

If that's the case, it can be debated that buying a minivan to haul around one or two kids would be like using a framing nailer to hang a picture frame.

7 years ago you could not hold a gun to to my wifes head to get her to drive a minivan. Now it would take a gun to get it from her. Its near impossible to beat power rear doors when you are hauling a 6yo and twin infants.

Look at the Dodge Durangos. We just traded my wifes jeep ( thank god) in on a 2012 Durango RT. Very nice and very good power if you get the Hemi.

Didn't you just buy that jeep?

What about the GMC Acadia? I have bought several for our people at work and they love them!

Honestly bro, for what you are looking for (two infants) there is nothing better than a minivan. All those that are complaining about minivans either have never owned one with kids, or are delusional. With my two kids we tried both the SUV and the sedan route, before finally giving in an buying a minivan. While the Sedan (Honda Accord) and SUV (Toyota 4Runner) may have looked better, they were nowhere near functional as a minivan.
                        .

Turbo forester if they're still in production. I *think* that they did away with the 2.5 turbo models in everything but the STi though and opted for a 3.6 in all other models. I'm a subaru guy though.

Yes and I am glad she finally got tired of it. lol. I was never a fan of it from the get go and it only took her a few months to admit it was a dumb spur of the moment mistake. We ended up trading it in for what we paid for it so no skin off our backs. She finally had it when people honked at her today because she was accelerating so slow. She said she had her foot to the floor. lol

Was it a wrangler? If so, chick hotness is magnified tenfold if they're behind the wheel of one. No i'm not implying that i honked, nor am i implying your wife needs a jeep to look hot but pics would help.

It was a wrangler unlimted (4 door) and the person was behind her and passed her as soon as possible lol. Seriously the 4 doors (pre 12) have no power. I tried to break the tires loose on a wet road the other day and it could not do it. It did have 33" mud tires on it but still. They are cool vehicles for the trails... but not to drive everyday. I was very uncomfortable in it.

I think Jen mentioned to me before that some people are just Jeep people and love them... so aren't.
