That would be awesome! I am good on clothes at this point thanks to some amazing people! (Not sure how that happened in less than 24 hours, but I'm more than happy about it!) My number is 682-365-8083 and I am off today and off at 1 tomorrow. I will meet you wherever! Thank you!!!

Christine, have them check with their ins adjuster asap, most disaster coverage will have emergency dispursement that would be available right away, specifically so they can cover clothes, hotel, and extra costs of living in the meantime.

Yea, my insurance company called it "additional living expense accout" and it was ten percent of the full amount I was insured for. The morning after my house burned down an adjuster came out and wrote me a check for $1500 and asked me to let him know when I needed more.

This!!! But not all policies have this endorsement. Have them check with their agent and if it is available they can have a check cut within a couple of hours.

They did not have this on their policy. I am just trying to help them out and get them through until the insurance details are worked out.

This same thing happened to me in 2007. We lived in an Apartment and my wife and I were at work. I got called out by HR and told that my apartment was completely engulfed in flames.

Every agency that investigated ruled the fire as "undetermined". 14 Months later the ATF submitted a Recommendation For Prosecution and the Grand Jury returned an indictment in June 2009.

I was arrested, charged with a First Degree Felony Arson, and held on 100,000 cash bond. I was extradited back to the state where it happened and released on bond just days later. From July 2 - March 4, 2010, my life was a living hell. Every day I woke up and prayed that I was dreaming. The day I left to drive to the trial, I hugged my son and told him that I Loved him. Every night, from the day I was arrested, he said a prayer that he thought all by himself. On day 4 of the trial, my Defense Attorney called the ATF Agent " Inspector Clouseau" during closing arguments. There was no motive, there was no direct evidence, all of our bills were paid on time (had perfect credit), we were both at work since that morning, and two different insurance companies ruled it "undetermined", as well as the State Fire Marshalls Office. To this day, we can't figure out why the ATF Agent was the only one who changed his mind, 14 months later, and allowed them to destroy the building 4 days after the fire happened.

Needless to say, I was acuitted of all charges, my record has been expunged, but I sit here today with $60K less in my back pockets, and can't file any lawsuit against the prosecutors, DA, or ATF.

I pray that they have insurance and do not have to go through the same things that I did. It is not something I want anyone to have to face in their life.

I hope that they can determine the cause quickly and allow this family to begin rebuilding their lives.

If they think there is a possibility that they may get accused, I would recommend that they get a lawyer ASAP. They can even contact me and I will help them on how to begin blasting the agency trying to accuse them of such a frivilous charge.

                  God Bless!

Just because they live in southlake, it doesn't mean that they have the direct cash available in this situation. It was just Christmas and im sure they spent some money on presents and what not.

I'd say maybe 1% of the houses in Southlake are trailers. I already looked-up the address of the house that burned, it was no trailer and was on a decent plot of land with a bunch of trees. It wasn't the sort of house that poor people lived in!

No one said they were poor. They lost everything they own, at a time of year when people are strapped for cash. They're asking for clothes, not cash. Damn, who pissed in your Cheerios?

Never said they were poor. I was just skeptical when it was said they lived in Southlake. My response to "there are trailer parks in Southlake" was that they did not live in a trailer park. That's it, not hating on 'em! You just never know with this community. A few bad apples that have been "helped" in the past pretty-much ruined me ever wanting to help anyone again from the board.

sorry man, that's one of my worst fears. this system can and does legally fuck anyone it can. it's disgusting. your time and money are gone.

i have a hard time saying only 9 months, 60k, but at least it wasn't worse.

i dont know how you do it cause the only thing i would want is revenge with a manifest written in blood.

Thank you to those of you who reached out to me. You will never know what it means to this family and to me.
To those of you don't believe me because they live in Southlake - eh... you know me and should know me better than that.

I just cleaned out my closet, I have a bunch of mens shirts xl-3xl, I also have some pairs of khaki pants 40-42, and a whole trash bag of socks and under shirts. Its all in great shape, most of the shirts have never been worn. Pm me if you think you can use any of it.

                                Chris

Edit: most of the shirts are collared Polo type shirts. I can probably dig up some hoodies or light weight jackets also.
