I got one of those Amazon Kindle things because I read a lot. I don't really ask for much on Christmas, it is for the kids for the most part. I bought my wife, her sisters and her mom a coach purse each though, they like that sort of stuff.

If you buy what you want when you want then why is a down payment even needed?

Is that really even a question? I see clothes I want, I buy them. I see jewelry I want, I buy it. Work pays for any cool techie items I want. All of my appliances are perfectly fine. My one collection is complete. My furniture is a year old. He wanted to get a lift kit for my Jeep, but I don't want to buy new tires and lift, or do any other mods to it until 1) I get closer to needing new tires and/or 2) I find the wheels that I really, really want. I'm back and forth on whether I really want to deal with a hard top. I can't see spending the money on something that's going to get stored 9 months out of the year. I may change my mind when winter really sets in. If so, I'll buy a hard top then.

The one thing that he wants is to order a 2013 as soon as they come available. His car parts fund has turned into his Mustang fund. So rather than spending money on random things that we don't need, my sense of practicality kicked in. I told him that I wanted to focus on the kids and I wanted the money we'd spend on each other to go into his Mustang fund. I'll probably do the same for his birthday, Valentines day, and my birthday, but will still celebrate Steak and Blow job day in March.
