  • Best place to book a cruise?

Looking at late July or early August destination date from Galveston. Any advice on websites that offer the best rates?

It'll be my first cruise so I want to make sure its a good one. Are there certain cruise lines/ships I should avoid? Is the basic room adequate or is upgrading a must? Any additional pointers/advice is welcome.

    How many days?
    Balcony, stateroom??

Any destinations you would like to port at while you are out?

3-4 days (maybe 5 if the price is right)

Not sure about the balcony/stateroom. Need some pointers if it's worth the room upgrade or if not. I'm assuming I'll be spending a lot of time outside of the room unless I'm sleeping?

I don't have any specific destinations I'd like to port at ATM. I'm pretty much open to anywhere as long as its leaving from Galveston.

Going with the woman. Neither one of us have been on a cruise so we're pretty excited about it.

I would not go with the absolute cheapest room but don't waste your money on a room with a portal window either. I haven't had a balcony so I don't know if it's worth the extra $. If you get bored easy then I would recomend a Voyager class ship (Bigger and more to do) but last I heard they did not leave out of Galveston in the summer.

Oh hell yeah man. From what I've heard no need to get an expensive ass fucking room. Just something to go take naps in really.

same info needed but would like a balcony room from what i've read if you get tired you can just chill and watch the waves while sipping bear way better than being locked up.

Are you going on the cruise to enjoy a nice room with a view or are you going on the cruise to enjoy a nice view and participate in the local events as well? There are SEVERAL things to do on the ship and in 4-5 days you will not be able to enjoy them all. There are also stops and ports to get off and do things, buy things and eat.

With all of this in mind are you going to spend alot of time in your room taking "naps"? If so just save your money, stay home and Google images instead.

Royal Carribean is the one I would recommend as far as environment and service. The passengers are mid 20's to 40ish usually and not too many kids. I also like them because I have a travel agent who will beat any online advertised price and will usually include a room upgrade for free.

                          Rooms:
Get a room on the highest deck possible and nearest to the elevator. Otherwise you will spend 30 minutes just leaving your room, walking half the length of the ship just to ride the elevator upstairs to the entertainment deck. You can find ship layouts on most of the providers web sites.

There is so much more I could add but I am not trying to write a novel here...just a short story

What type of bear are we talking about? Dark or light, and we drinking the blood?
