"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic." -Benjamin Franklin "A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury." -Alexander Fraser Tytler
I will add that Port seems to be all over the map. I've had some that were downright repulsive and others that were very pleasant.
I should also say that the white port we had was port style, as I've been informed. It was called Marla's Melody and it is made by Enoch's Stomp in the piney East Texas woods of Harleton.
Picked up a bottle of Eagle Rare today as a cheaper sipper. Currently got Blanton's and Booker's on the shelf. Doubt I will buy Blanton's again, a little too boring for me. Also bought some 1835 Bourbon just because it was on sale for $19. I don't have high hopes, but it's "Texas Made" (or just bottled).
