    They were fishing for drugs.

because the right lane is rough as hell

The right lane of I45 heading to Houston around Corsicana is (or was) like being on a fucking gravel road, just one continuous patched pothole. No way in hell you could drive a low-riding car or sports car in the right lane without bottoming out and/or tearing shit up.

Depending on location they cost between $200 to $1000 a month.

I had the same thing happen in Van Zant county a few years ago. I pulled into the left lane to avoid debris on the right lane, then noticed the cop sitting on the shoulder, so I stayed in the left lane to give her a wide berth. He pulled me over, and asked me why I was driving from Dallas and if I still lived in Longview. I informed him that I wasn't driving from Dallas, I was driving from Salado, but didn't elaborate further. So he asked, "What business did you have in Salado?"

I looked him square in the face and said, "I buried my father today."
He stood there for a few seconds and said, "You what?"
So I repeated, "I buried my father today. He died almost three weeks ago, and they found his decomposing body when his neighbor called in a welfare check last week, So, I drove to Temple last night, stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn on Scott Blvd., drove to the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Salado this morning, and buried my father. Do you have any other fucking questions?"

He handed me my license, said, "I'm so sorry," and walked away.

If people would just leave a few minutes earlier..lol

the worse thing i hate is if its a non injury accident the law is to get it off the road ,instead DFD likes to block 3 lanes for a very minor fender bender..

That pisses me off to no end. If the cars are still driveable then pull them off the damn road onto the shoulder!

You're assuming that everyone driving above the speed limit is late.

                                My $.02:

I am not a fan of "left lane for passing only", but am a fan of "slower traffic keep right". As mentioned, there are MANY road where the right lane is nothing but garbage, and generally speaking in terms of seeing animals running out, etc, the left lane is more safe. Forcing someone to drive in the right lane when there isn't another vehicle on the road is bullshit.
