Sorry, I'm actually clueless on the subject, considering there's a perfectly good untitled car in my yard.

I just figured selling a car that you can't even prove ownership of would be a no-no, but that's why I just build/drive them, not deal them.

88 coupe I picked up in CA last year. White/grey int. 5speed. I painted it (thread below) and it just sits. Completely stock, down to the 10 holes and h-pipe. Everything works. It just needs to be driven.

I haven't even considered selling it, and I've had a few offers, but I've got a lot of time in it and haven't enjoyed it really.

Soooo.... I'm about ready to paint my '88 coupe, and I had some quick questions. This is my first attempt at a paint job, so I realize it won't be stellar. I've got the surface wet sanded to 600 and I plan to shoot base white and clear coat, and the trim and moldings (including the moulding on the bumper covers) will be

I'm no expert on current pricing, that was just what I had in mind. Honestly, if I could get above $2500 how it sits, It would be gone. I'll probably try to contact the registered owner once more and then go the bonded title route if I can't.

No problem. Yours is a good representation of the type of opinions I was looking for. Thank you for the input.

I personally won't even touch a car that doesn't have a title and niether will a few buddies that buy and sell ALOT of cars. There's no way to prove your the owner or that there's not a lean on the car. I've seen people try to sell a car that they were making payments on and a car lot had the title to.
