I honestly can't believe you picked an example that is completely proving my point. Smoking is illegal in just about all of the major cities in bars/businesses/restaurants, etc.. some of which is regardless of what the business wants. That's exactly my point, you just named an 'awareness' campaign resulting in the loss of freedom.

look for a guy named 'beachnik' on the jalopnik article, he posts in the comments listing them. One of them was CARB, I do not remember the other two.

What does a public place have to do with any of this? You've lost a freedom, you can't smoke when you want to anymore. Do I need to define what a freedom is?

Please don't try to explain...you've made it clear you don't know what freedom is.

And the public place makes it a grey area. You see limiting smoking as an attack on your freedom...I see it as a protection from your nasty cancer craving ass. You aren't complaining because you can't piss and shit wherever you want as well are you?

I love how you just assume shit and then get personal when your arguments fall apart. I've noticed a very common similarity in all the threads you post in (I've been reading all your trolls). You post something factually incorrect, it blows up, and then you start a hissy fit. You're comment about smoking was just about one of the dumbest things I've read this year (and being at the end of the year that's an accomplishment). That was single handedly the best example of a public awareness program turned into a loss of freedom I could have given. You prove this by defending the fact they shouldn't be able to do that in the post above (and ignoring the fact it's a lost freedom). I will sit here and drive it into the ground to make you look stupid if you want me to. And given your previous posts I'm 100% certain your pride will force me to.

Oh, and I don't even smoke, but I appreciate the "nasty cancer craving ass." butthurt retort.

If you want to change your oil at 3k you can, and it's cheaper. If this went into law, if you wanted to change your oil at 7,500 or 10k it would be more expensive. And if you wanted to change your oil at 3k you couldn't. The proposed mandate would take freedoms, make life more expensive, lose jobs, and cause other states to pay for it. I don't support the idea.
Ignoring what point? Maybe I misread the story but where does that story say anything about this becoming a law?? They have launched a campaign to educate consumers.

California has a history of preempting legislation with awareness programs. This article is entirely based on the awareness program, not any law. Most of the discussion is based on if they decided to make it law and the legality behind it if they did.

Lol what the fuck is going on here? Nothing I said was wrong. Everything you have said is wrong. I'm not throwing a hussy fit I'm just amazed at your stupidity. Dude just because you can't provide a cohesive point doesn't mean wishing someone wrong makes you right.

You do realize you're still free to smoke right? Wait...you don't because you obviously don't know what freedom is.

When everyone is calling you wrong...it's time to listen.

Hahaha no you are the only retard arguing that it takes freedoms because of an awareness program that may happen that could be mistaken by a retard for a law. You get the point now? And you still can't provide the prior history of the 3 laws from awareness programs. You are basing everything off jalopnik heresy

Another butt hurt reply, as I expected. Before that public awareness program, you could smoke with your friends in a bar, or outside in the eve. You had the freedom to do that. You no longer have the freedom to do that. That's a loss of freedom. The fact that you're so damn ignorant you can't grasp this is hilarious - but what's even more hilarious is I know you realized what you said was dumb as hell. That's precisely why you're still stuck on it and so butt hurt.

oh wow, a 2 poster.. super butt hurt. I never said this was law, our discussion is about the idea of it becoming a law. You're focusing on this because you need a way out of the discussion now. So this is the point where you'll start focusing on other peoples posts or another ancillary statement to divert attention (you just attempted that). And now it's jalopnik heresy (it's called hearsay) - heresy is religious rejection of an idea or item.

I don't care what you and I think about the non-smoking side. The government took the freedom away from business owners. It should be their choice, then you and I decide if we go to those places.

Now, those business owners don't have the freedom to run their bar, restaurant, whatever the way they want.

Same concept in what CJ is referring to in regards to oil changes. I have no doubt they'll try to implement this as a law 3-4 years from now and everyone will play stupid about it.
